Olha Dovhan-Levytska
artist
Olha Dovhan-Levytska
1991 Lviv, Ukraine.
Lives and works in Ankara.
In her art practise she is exploring the nature of thought through abstract graphics and minimalist gestures. Her practice reflects on mental processes inaccessible to artificial intelligence — particularly paradoxical thinking, intuition, and the primal human urge to write and draw. Her works are meditative lines of observation, tracing the rhythm and pulse of consciousness. Inspired by Blaise Pascal’s idea of man as “a thinking reed,” she seeks the vulnerable intelligence and the thought that leaves a trace. Working on canvas and instalations.

Artist Statement
I am interested in anthropological scenes that appear in the course of history:
first human in a cave paints on a wall, and now me, as an artist, publish art on the walls of your social networks. And in both cases, it is about thinking, ritual, education, culture, sense of security and exaltation of life.
